DEAF CAMP 2012
Deaf Camp was July 2 - 6. It was an action packed, spiritual up-lifting week. In previous years we had deaf camp for teens but this year we decided on a family camp. This was new to them but boy, did it ever catch on. Everyone is planning on coming back next year and the excitement will grow!
There were 45 campers this year -- five of the campers were children under 5 years of age which sent us scrambling to find teachers and activities to keep them busy. Their running around the auditorium didn't bother the deaf as much as it did us hearing ones.
Many decision were made this week -- three deaf men were gloriously saved Successful week? You bet -- Absolutely!
Bro. Jim Bracelin from Silent Word Ministries came from America to assist with deaf camp once again. He brought his right-hand helper (his lovely wife Terry) and two single young men with him. Together with Pastor Slava and the workers from deaf church - the camp was well organized and well-staffed.
Enjoy these pictures that give a {not-so-brief} glimpse into a week given to the Lord. The first is Andrean and he is from our deaf church. He is 12 years old. Every night he came into Pastor Bob's room to read the Bible, pray and even preach. Pray for this bright young boy.
